After the noon meal that day the whigs came back to school , each with a large R for “resist” chalked on the front of the Latin book.

Daniel compares Mr. Nicholls as a bee because Mr. Nicholls would fly from one topic to another humming, no one bothered to follow his flight and then he would all the sudden land on a word and he would buzz. ” After the noon meal that day the Whigs came back to school, each with a large R for ” resist ” chalked on the Latin book”. Resist means they couldn’t pass it up.

Chapter 4: Daniel compares Mr. Nicholls to a bee because he would fly from one topic to another, humming so monotonously no one bothered to follow his flight, and then all of a sudden he would lande on a word and buzz. Submit means to yield to the action, control, power, etc. of another to others. Resist means to oppose actively, fight, argue, or work against. Dr. west is going to need a chaise for his trip to Boston because he is going to bring someone back from Boston.

Chapter 5: Some of the nice qualities of the Footes are they didn’t backtrack they said and did what they believed, each one sensing what the others needed without having to ask or correct or give instructions. Daniel’s new mother is very nice and she’s a deciding woman and she’s a woman who puts on airs. When Peter Ray says that Daniel will be sorry I think that Peter Ray is going to get back at daniel.
